Cortney attended Illinois State University for which she earned her BS in Kinesiology/Athletic Training and followed with an MS in Exercise Physiology. She then received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2006. Since then her experience has been working in outpatient physical therapy as well as home health. She is a certified orthopedic specialist as well as a certified strength & conditioning specialist. In 2014 she decided to become a holistic health coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Following completion of the certification program she started Cortney Fowles Health & Wellness Coaching. Her focus is on working with women specifically who are looking for a path to healing disordered eating through nutrition and self care while building a beautiful relationship with themselves.
Cortney is married to her husband Adam and has a step-daughter Sierra. Outside of school and work she enjoys yoga, weight lifting, meditation and reading. She has also enjoys teaching fitness classes, and has also participated in multiple body building competitions, marathons and triathlons.
